The clearest difference is update cadence: Course Hero at fortnightly against Helper.AI's every 10 months. Course Hero also leads on ratings volume (65K vs 10) and chart position (#94 vs unranked). Helper.AI's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Helper.AI sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.
