# Course Hero vs Math Solve

The clearest difference is monetization model: Course Hero at free with in-app purchases against Math Solve's subscription. Course Hero also leads on review sentiment (28% vs 0%) and rating (4.7 vs 4.3). Math Solve's advantage is update cadence (daily vs fortnightly). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Course Hero sells 11 in-app purchases, starting at $14.99 per month and Math Solve sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Course Hero holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Course Hero has 65K ratings behind it against 33, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 28% of Course Hero's written reviews are positive against 0% of Math Solve's.

Course Hero ships an update fortnightly, Math Solve daily. The most recent releases landed on November 2, 2026 and November 1, 2026 respectively.
