# Tuta Mail vs Warden

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Warden at 100% against Tuta Mail's 65%. Warden also leads on monetization model (free vs freemium) and rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Tuta Mail's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 6 weeks) and ratings volume (3.7K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tuta Mail sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Warden sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Warden holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tuta Mail has 3.7K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 65% of Tuta Mail's written reviews are positive against 100% of Warden's.

Tuta Mail ships an update weekly, Warden every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
