# Tuta Mail vs Email

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Email at 79K against Tuta Mail's 3.8K. Tuta Mail's advantage is rating (4.7 vs 4.5). On price, review sentiment, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tuta Mail sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month and Email sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Tuta Mail holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Email has 79K ratings behind it against 3.8K, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 65% and 66% positive.

Tuta Mail ships an update weekly, Email every 2 weeks. Both last shipped on October 28, 2026.
