# CGTN vs teleSURtv

The clearest difference is rating: teleSURtv at 5.0 against CGTN's 4.4. teleSURtv also leads on monetization model (free vs ad-supported) and iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). CGTN's advantage is ratings volume (395 vs 2) and device support (5 vs 3). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

teleSURtv holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: CGTN has 395 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 16, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
