# Email vs BoldText Converter

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: BoldText Converter at none against Email's 22. BoldText Converter also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.5). Email's advantage is ratings volume (79K vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Email sells 17 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per 7 days. BoldText Converter asks for nothing beyond the download.

BoldText Converter holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Email has 79K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Email ships an update every 2 weeks, BoldText Converter every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 17, 2026 respectively.
