# Eques vs Pawmate

The clearest difference is rating: Pawmate at 4.0 against Eques's 2.1. Pawmate also leads on ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs ad-supported). Eques's advantage is update cadence (every 6 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (29 vs 2). On price, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Pawmate holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Eques has 29 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Eques ships an update every 6 days, Pawmate every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
