# AirType vs Remote Trackpad

The clearest difference is review sentiment: AirType at 71% against Remote Trackpad's 16%. AirType also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 4) and ads (none vs shown). Remote Trackpad's advantage is rating (3.8 vs 3.3). On price, ratings volume and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Remote Trackpad sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $6.99 per 7 days. AirType asks for nothing beyond the download.

Remote Trackpad holds the better App Store score, 3.8 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 39 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of AirType's written reviews are positive against 16% of Remote Trackpad's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
