# AirType vs Air

The clearest difference is rating: Air at 4.5 against AirType's 3.3. AirType's advantage is iOS requirement (8.0 vs 13.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Air holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 3.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 29 and 11 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 71% of AirType's written reviews are positive against 67% of Air's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.
