# Cnbeta vs 正阅

The clearest difference is update cadence: 正阅 at every 2 days against Cnbeta's every 3 months. 正阅 also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Cnbeta's advantage is ratings volume (40 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Cnbeta sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and 正阅 sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

正阅 holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Cnbeta has 40 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Cnbeta ships an update every 3 months, 正阅 every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 12, 2026 respectively.
