# ColorSwitch! vs Block Puzzle

The clearest difference is update cadence: Block Puzzle at fortnightly against ColorSwitch!'s every 2 months. ColorSwitch!'s advantage is monetization model (ad-supported vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (4K vs 802). On price, rating, review sentiment and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for ColorSwitch! against 4.6 for Block Puzzle. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: ColorSwitch! has 4K ratings behind it against 802, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 74% and 73% positive.

ColorSwitch! ships an update every 2 months, Block Puzzle fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
