# 生活随笔 vs TCal

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: 生活随笔 at none against TCal's 1. TCal's advantage is update cadence (every 5 days vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. TCal sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. 生活随笔 asks for nothing beyond the download.

生活随笔 ships an update every 2 months, TCal every 5 days. The most recent releases landed on October 5, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
