# 秀动 vs KiTplayer

The clearest difference is monetization model: KiTplayer at free against 秀动's free with in-app purchases. KiTplayer also leads on review sentiment (34% vs 17%) and update cadence (weekly vs every 2 weeks). 秀动's advantage is rating (4.8 vs 4.5). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

秀动 holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 949 and 462 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 17% of 秀动's written reviews are positive against 34% of KiTplayer's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

秀动 ships an update every 2 weeks, KiTplayer weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 3, 2026 respectively.
