# Blue Ox Tavern vs WaitWell

The clearest difference is rating: Blue Ox Tavern at 5.0 against WaitWell's 1.5. WaitWell's advantage is update cadence (every 2 months vs every 13 months) and ratings volume (10 vs 2). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Blue Ox Tavern holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 1.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: WaitWell has 10 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Blue Ox Tavern ships an update every 13 months, WaitWell every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
