# Google Classroom vs Romanova

The clearest difference is rating: Romanova at 5.0 against Google Classroom's 2.1. Romanova also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Google Classroom's advantage is ratings volume (37K vs 1) and chart position (#3 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Romanova holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Classroom has 37K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Google Classroom ships an update fortnightly, Romanova every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 4, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
