# Google Classroom vs PPU Students

The clearest difference is rating: PPU Students at 2.8 against Google Classroom's 2.1. PPU Students also leads on iOS requirement (15.0 vs 17.0). Google Classroom's advantage is review sentiment (26% vs 0%) and ratings volume (37K vs 17). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

PPU Students holds the better App Store score, 2.8 against 2.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Google Classroom has 37K ratings behind it against 17, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 26% of Google Classroom's written reviews are positive against 0% of PPU Students's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Google Classroom ships an update fortnightly, PPU Students every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
