# midimittr vs Soundcool OSC

The clearest difference is rating: midimittr at 4.5 against Soundcool OSC's 4.0. midimittr also leads on update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (54 vs 1). Soundcool OSC's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 91%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

midimittr holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: midimittr has 54 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 91% of midimittr's written reviews are positive against 100% of Soundcool OSC's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

midimittr ships an update every 2 weeks, Soundcool OSC every 17 months. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
