# Reuk vs Flashback

The clearest difference is monetization model: Flashback at free against Reuk's paid. Flashback also leads on review sentiment (100% vs 70%). Reuk's advantage is rating (4.3 vs 4.0) and ratings volume (10 vs 1). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Reuk holds the better App Store score, 4.3 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reuk has 10 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 70% of Reuk's written reviews are positive against 100% of Flashback's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Reuk ships an update every 2 months, Flashback every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 30, 2026 respectively.
