# i vs Uni Lab

The clearest difference is rating: i at 2.7 against Uni Lab's 1.8. Uni Lab's advantage is update cadence (every 5 weeks vs every 14 months) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 16.0). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

i holds the better App Store score, 2.7 against 1.8. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 35 and 16 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 20% of i's written reviews are positive against 22% of Uni Lab's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

i ships an update every 14 months, Uni Lab every 5 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 22, 2026 and October 19, 2026 respectively.
