# Koyomi vs Progress

The clearest difference is rating: Koyomi at 5.0 against Progress's 4.0. Koyomi also leads on price ($1.99 vs $3.99) and device support (5 vs 1). Progress's advantage is update cadence (every 2 days vs every 5 weeks) and review sentiment (83% vs 58%). On ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Koyomi costs $1.99 and Progress $3.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Koyomi holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Progress has 30 ratings behind it against 2, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 58% of Koyomi's written reviews are positive against 83% of Progress's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Koyomi ships an update every 5 weeks, Progress every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 29, 2026 respectively.
