# PDF Maker vs PDF Format Converter

The clearest difference is rating: PDF Format Converter at 4.5 against PDF Maker's 4.1. PDF Format Converter also leads on iOS requirement (17.6 vs 26.0). PDF Maker's advantage is ratings volume (3.9K vs 14) and update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. PDF Maker sells 13 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per 7 days and PDF Format Converter sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $5.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

PDF Format Converter holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: PDF Maker has 3.9K ratings behind it against 14, so its average is the more settled of the two.

PDF Maker ships an update every 3 weeks, PDF Format Converter every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
