# File Manager vs MyFiles

The clearest difference is review sentiment: File Manager at 56% against MyFiles's 0%. File Manager also leads on update cadence (every 3 weeks vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 18.0). MyFiles's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.0). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. File Manager sells 3 one-off in-app purchases and MyFiles sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

MyFiles holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 30 and 15 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 56% of File Manager's written reviews are positive against 0% of MyFiles's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

File Manager ships an update every 3 weeks, MyFiles every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 14, 2026 and September 25, 2026 respectively.
