# Tailor vs Blur Text

The clearest difference is rating: Blur Text at 5.0 against Tailor's 3.1. Blur Text also leads on update cadence (every 3 days vs every 4 months). Tailor's advantage is ratings volume (8.3K vs 1) and review sentiment (40% vs 25%). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Tailor sells 4 one-off in-app purchases and Blur Text sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Blur Text holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Tailor has 8.3K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 40% of Tailor's written reviews are positive against 25% of Blur Text's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Tailor ships an update every 4 months, Blur Text every 3 days. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
