# Dataminr vs Rhombus Key

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Rhombus Key at 74% against Dataminr's 50%. Dataminr's advantage is rating (4.6 vs 4.3) and update cadence (weekly vs every 4 weeks). On price, ratings volume, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Dataminr holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.3. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 94 and 72 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 50% of Dataminr's written reviews are positive against 74% of Rhombus Key's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Dataminr ships an update weekly, Rhombus Key every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
