# CheffTerm vs RestPOS

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: CheffTerm at none against RestPOS's 3. CheffTerm also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 15.0). RestPOS's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs monthly). On price, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. RestPOS sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. CheffTerm asks for nothing beyond the download.

CheffTerm ships an update monthly, RestPOS fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 7, 2026 respectively.
