# SmarLife vs QR Code

The clearest difference is rating: QR Code at 4.5 against SmarLife's 4.0. QR Code also leads on update cadence (every 9 days vs every 2 months) and ratings volume (13K vs 1). SmarLife's advantage is in-app purchases (none vs 7). On price, ads, device support and iOS requirement there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. QR Code sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. SmarLife asks for nothing beyond the download.

QR Code holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: QR Code has 13K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SmarLife ships an update every 2 months, QR Code every 9 days. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
