# SmarLife vs UBackup

The clearest difference is rating: SmarLife at 4.0 against UBackup's 2.0. SmarLife also leads on iOS requirement (13.0 vs 15.0). UBackup's advantage is ratings volume (85 vs 1) and update cadence (every 4 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

SmarLife holds the better App Store score, 4.0 against 2.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: UBackup has 85 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

SmarLife ships an update every 2 months, UBackup every 4 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 16, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
