# Hack Ex vs Hack.Hub

The clearest difference is update cadence: Hack.Hub at weekly against Hack Ex's every 3 months. Hack Ex's advantage is review sentiment (81% vs 59%) and ratings volume (2.5K vs 130). On price, rating, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Hack Ex sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Hack.Hub sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Hack Ex holds the better App Store score, 4.6 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Hack Ex has 2.5K ratings behind it against 130, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 81% of Hack Ex's written reviews are positive against 59% of Hack.Hub's.

Hack Ex ships an update every 3 months, Hack.Hub weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 3, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
