# SciKey vs Math Keyboard

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SciKey at 54% against Math Keyboard's 0%. SciKey also leads on ratings volume (70 vs 12) and iOS requirement (8.0 vs 26.2). Math Keyboard's advantage is rating (3.3 vs 3.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SciKey sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Math Keyboard sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Math Keyboard holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.0. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SciKey has 70 ratings behind it against 12, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 54% of SciKey's written reviews are positive against 0% of Math Keyboard's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

SciKey ships an update every 2 months, Math Keyboard every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 24, 2026.
