# Study! vs StudyLog

The clearest difference is ads: Study! at none against StudyLog's shown. Study! also leads on ratings volume (279 vs 4) and iOS requirement (11.0 vs 17.6). StudyLog's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 7 months) and rating (4.8 vs 4.6). On price, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Study! sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and StudyLog sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $0.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

StudyLog holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Study! has 279 ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Study! ships an update every 7 months, StudyLog fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 1, 2026 and September 26, 2026 respectively.
