# MileagePlus X vs Fly Vaunt

The clearest difference is rating: MileagePlus X at 4.8 against Fly Vaunt's 3.1. MileagePlus X also leads on monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases) and ratings volume (21K vs 212). Fly Vaunt's advantage is review sentiment (45% vs 22%) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.2). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

MileagePlus X holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: MileagePlus X has 21K ratings behind it against 212, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 22% of MileagePlus X's written reviews are positive against 45% of Fly Vaunt's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

MileagePlus X ships an update monthly, Fly Vaunt fortnightly. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
