# WriteOn Lite vs Word Tracker

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Word Tracker at 268 against WriteOn Lite's 7. Word Tracker also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.6) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs monthly). WriteOn Lite's advantage is review sentiment (100% vs 81%) and iOS requirement (15.6 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. WriteOn Lite sells 1 one-off in-app purchase and Word Tracker sells 6 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Word Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.6. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Word Tracker has 268 ratings behind it against 7, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 100% of WriteOn Lite's written reviews are positive against 81% of Word Tracker's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

WriteOn Lite ships an update monthly, Word Tracker every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on September 24, 2026 and October 13, 2026 respectively.
