# Directional Drilling vs Magnetism

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Magnetism at 50% against Directional Drilling's 0%. Magnetism also leads on price ($0.99 vs $29.99). Directional Drilling's advantage is update cadence (every 8 months vs every 33 months). On ads, in-app purchases, monetization model and device support there is nothing between them.

Directional Drilling costs $29.99 and Magnetism $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Directional Drilling ships an update every 8 months, Magnetism every 33 months. The most recent releases landed on October 2, 2026 and October 8, 2026 respectively.
