# Microsoft Power BI vs Jedox

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Microsoft Power BI at 98K against Jedox's 1. Microsoft Power BI also leads on update cadence (fortnightly vs every 2 months) and chart position (#158 vs unranked). Jedox's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.7) and iOS requirement (15.1 vs 18.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

Jedox holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Power BI has 98K ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Microsoft Power BI ships an update fortnightly, Jedox every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 16, 2026 respectively.
