# Microsoft Power BI vs EcoSys

The clearest difference is review sentiment: EcoSys at 100% against Microsoft Power BI's 46%. EcoSys also leads on rating (5.0 vs 4.7). Microsoft Power BI's advantage is update cadence (fortnightly vs every 17 months) and ratings volume (98K vs 4). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

EcoSys holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.7. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Microsoft Power BI has 98K ratings behind it against 4, so its average is the more settled of the two.
