# Final Surge vs Garmin Clipboard™

The clearest difference is rating: Garmin Clipboard™ at 4.8 against Final Surge's 3.8. Garmin Clipboard™ also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 2) and ratings volume (899 vs 125). Final Surge's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 6 weeks). On price, review sentiment, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Final Surge sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month. Garmin Clipboard™ asks for nothing beyond the download.

Garmin Clipboard™ holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 3.8. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Garmin Clipboard™ has 899 ratings behind it against 125, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 51% of Final Surge's written reviews are positive against 46% of Garmin Clipboard™'s, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Final Surge ships an update every 2 weeks, Garmin Clipboard™ every 6 weeks. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
