# Dog Hotel vs Unseen Objects

Dog Hotel and Unseen Objects both sit at 4.4 stars, but that hides the real split: 78% of Dog Hotel's written reviews are positive against 33% of Unseen Objects's. Dog Hotel also leads on ratings volume (4.9K vs 46). Unseen Objects's advantage is ads (none vs shown) and monetization model (free vs free with in-app purchases). On price, rating, update cadence and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dog Hotel sells 10 one-off in-app purchases and Unseen Objects sells 2 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Dog Hotel holds the better App Store score, 4.4 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dog Hotel has 4.9K ratings behind it against 46, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 78% of Dog Hotel's written reviews are positive against 33% of Unseen Objects's.

Dog Hotel ships an update every 2 months, Unseen Objects every 3 months. The most recent releases landed on November 6, 2026 and November 3, 2026 respectively.
