# Train Station vs Subway Train Simulator

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Subway Train Simulator at 85% against Train Station's 63%. Train Station's advantage is rating (4.5 vs 4.3) and ratings volume (2.9K vs 244). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Train Station sells 14 one-off in-app purchases and Subway Train Simulator sells 3 one-off in-app purchases. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Train Station holds the better App Store score, 4.5 against 4.3. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Train Station has 2.9K ratings behind it against 244, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews complicate that: 63% of Train Station's written reviews are positive against 85% of Subway Train Simulator's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

Train Station ships an update every 2 months, Subway Train Simulator every 5 weeks. Both last shipped on October 19, 2026.
