# Animatoon vs MICHICON

The clearest difference is ratings volume: Animatoon at 407 against MICHICON's 40. Animatoon also leads on iOS requirement (11.0 vs 13.0). On price, rating, review sentiment and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Animatoon sells 2 one-off in-app purchases and MICHICON sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 3.1 for Animatoon against 3.2 for MICHICON. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Animatoon has 407 ratings behind it against 40, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews split almost evenly too, at 43% and 42% positive.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 17, 2026 and October 14, 2026 respectively.
