# IKAWA Pro vs Brewguide

IKAWA Pro and Brewguide both sit at 3.3 stars, but that hides the real split: 46% of Brewguide's written reviews are positive against 35% of IKAWA Pro's. On price, rating, ratings volume and update cadence there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

IKAWA Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 3.1. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 14 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of IKAWA Pro's written reviews are positive against 46% of Brewguide's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IKAWA Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, Brewguide monthly. The most recent releases landed on September 22, 2026 and October 5, 2026 respectively.
