# IKAWA Pro vs Acaia Updater

The clearest difference is rating: IKAWA Pro at 3.3 against Acaia Updater's 2.5. IKAWA Pro also leads on in-app purchases (none vs 1) and update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, review sentiment, ratings volume and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Acaia Updater sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. IKAWA Pro asks for nothing beyond the download.

IKAWA Pro holds the better App Store score, 3.3 against 2.5. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 12 and 20 respectively. Written reviews complicate that: 35% of IKAWA Pro's written reviews are positive against 38% of Acaia Updater's, so the app with the better star average is not the one people write more warmly about.

IKAWA Pro ships an update every 2 weeks, Acaia Updater every 2 months. The most recent releases landed on October 24, 2026 and October 26, 2026 respectively.
