# Must Read vs Reading Tracker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: Reading Tracker at 89% against Must Read's 48%. Reading Tracker also leads on rating (4.8 vs 4.5) and ratings volume (285 vs 15). Must Read's advantage is chart position (#53 vs unranked) and iOS requirement (18.0 vs 26.0). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Must Read sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Reading Tracker sells 14 in-app purchases, starting at $1.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Reading Tracker holds the better App Store score, 4.8 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Reading Tracker has 285 ratings behind it against 15, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 48% of Must Read's written reviews are positive against 89% of Reading Tracker's.

Must Read ships an update every 6 days, Reading Tracker every 8 days. The most recent releases landed on October 26, 2026 and October 27, 2026 respectively.
