# Must Read vs Nous

The clearest difference is rating: Nous at 5.0 against Must Read's 4.4. Must Read's advantage is ratings volume (18 vs 1) and chart position (#209 vs unranked). On price, update cadence, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Must Read sells 3 in-app purchases, starting at $4.99 per month and Nous sells 2 in-app purchases, starting at $3.99 per month. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Nous holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Must Read has 18 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Must Read ships an update every 6 days, Nous weekly. The most recent releases landed on October 29, 2026 and October 18, 2026 respectively.
