# SuperMe vs Avatar Maker

The clearest difference is review sentiment: SuperMe at 89% against Avatar Maker's 50%. SuperMe also leads on rating (4.7 vs 4.4) and ratings volume (3.1K vs 221). Avatar Maker's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and iOS requirement (12.0 vs 17.6). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SuperMe sells 12 one-off in-app purchases and Avatar Maker sells 6 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per 7 days. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

SuperMe holds the better App Store score, 4.7 against 4.4. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SuperMe has 3.1K ratings behind it against 221, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews point the same way: 89% of SuperMe's written reviews are positive against 50% of Avatar Maker's.

SuperMe ships an update every 2 months, Avatar Maker weekly. The most recent releases landed on November 1, 2026 and October 30, 2026 respectively.
