# Secret Folder vs ScreenShield

The clearest difference is monetization model: Secret Folder at free against ScreenShield's paid. Secret Folder also leads on ratings volume (74 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). ScreenShield's advantage is rating (5.0 vs 4.5). On price, ads and in-app purchases there is nothing between them.

Secret Folder costs $0.99 and ScreenShield $0.99 up front. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

ScreenShield holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.5. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Secret Folder has 74 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.
