# SAT® vs SAT & ACT Prep

The clearest difference is in-app purchases: SAT® at none against SAT & ACT Prep's 14. SAT® also leads on ratings volume (1.8K vs 282) and iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). SAT & ACT Prep's advantage is update cadence (weekly vs every 2 months) and review sentiment (85% vs 77%). On price, rating, ads and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. SAT & ACT Prep sells 12 in-app purchases, starting at $7.99 per 7 days. SAT® asks for nothing beyond the download.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SAT® against 4.6 for SAT & ACT Prep. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: SAT® has 1.8K ratings behind it against 282, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of SAT®'s written reviews are positive against 85% of SAT & ACT Prep's.
