# SAT® vs Dolphin

The clearest difference is monetization model: SAT® at free against Dolphin's free with in-app purchases. SAT® also leads on iOS requirement (9.0 vs 16.0). Dolphin's advantage is update cadence (every 2 weeks vs every 2 months). On price, rating, review sentiment and ratings volume there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.8 for SAT® against 4.8 for Dolphin. Both are backed by a comparable volume of ratings — 1.7K and 1.3K respectively. Written reviews are what separate them: 77% of SAT®'s written reviews are positive against 84% of Dolphin's.

SAT® ships an update every 2 months, Dolphin every 2 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 20, 2026 and October 22, 2026 respectively.
