# Monster Math vs Speed Math

The clearest difference is monetization model: Speed Math at free against Monster Math's free with in-app purchases. Speed Math also leads on review sentiment (78% vs 67%) and iOS requirement (10.0 vs 15.0). Monster Math's advantage is ratings volume (35K vs 63). On price, rating, update cadence and ads there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Monster Math sells 7 in-app purchases, starting at $9.99 per month and Speed Math sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

On the App Store both sit at effectively the same score — 4.5 for Monster Math against 4.4 for Speed Math. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Monster Math has 35K ratings behind it against 63, so its average is the more settled of the two. Written reviews are what separate them: 67% of Monster Math's written reviews are positive against 78% of Speed Math's.

Both ship on a similar rhythm, roughly every 4 days. The most recent releases landed on October 30, 2026 and October 24, 2026 respectively.
