# GNSS Status vs RTKapp

The clearest difference is update cadence: RTKapp at every 3 weeks against GNSS Status's every 2 months. GNSS Status's advantage is iOS requirement (9.3 vs 17.0). On price, ads, in-app purchases and device support there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Neither carries in-app purchases, so what you see is what you pay.

GNSS Status ships an update every 2 months, RTKapp every 3 weeks. The most recent releases landed on October 8, 2026 and October 1, 2026 respectively.
