# Dropshare vs Better Writing

The clearest difference is rating: Better Writing at 5.0 against Dropshare's 4.1. Better Writing also leads on update cadence (every 2 days vs monthly). Dropshare's advantage is ratings volume (65 vs 1) and device support (3 vs 1). On price, ads, in-app purchases and monetization model there is nothing between them.

Both are free to download. Dropshare sells 4 in-app purchases, starting at $2.99 per month and Better Writing sells 1 one-off in-app purchase. Whichever you choose, the download price is not the number that matters.

Better Writing holds the better App Store score, 5.0 against 4.1. That said, the two scores are not equally well evidenced: Dropshare has 65 ratings behind it against 1, so its average is the more settled of the two.

Dropshare ships an update monthly, Better Writing every 2 days. The most recent releases landed on October 6, 2026 and September 28, 2026 respectively.
